Survey Summary
Kurt Manufacturing Company produces precision machine parts and assemblies for the computer, automotive, aircraft, compressor, fluid power, and defense industries. The product lines include rotary transfer machines; machine tool accessories; industrial vises; electronic machine controllers; electronically controlled modular gaging and statistical analyzers; shop hard computers; tube bending powder coat painting; and durable medical equipment. Kurt also provides contract services to manufacturers in areas such as prototype development, special machine tool construction, and precision die castings.
Kurt Manufacturing is comprised of nine divisions housed in eight separate facility sites. Six of the eight plants are located in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area with additional sites in Pueblo, Colorado and Layman, Nebraska. Kurt Manufacturing includes the Precision Machining Division, the Screw Machining Division, the Industrial Products Division, the Electronic Division, the Die Casting Division, the Precision Gear Division, and the Theradyne Healthcare Products Division. The workforce of more than 1,200 employees is housed in over 660,000 square feet company-wide.
