Information : In-Process Design Analysis
A concept of in-process analysis and design analysis has proved to be highly effective and successful at Litton. This concept extends the skills of the design engineer's capabilities in real-time and helps him maintain a focus. It also supports production of reliable, producible and maintainable equipment. Design analysis provides the design engineer education, motivation, discipline controls, real-time analysis and review, and immediate feedback which drives the designing of reliability, built-in test, testability, producibility and maintainability into the equipment. Litton's in-process design analysis, review, discipline and control method has been implemented for nearly a decade and has proven effective in the field with greater mean time between failure and improved testability.
