Information : Quiet Vehicle Acoustic Testing
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Keyport maintains a capability for underwater vehicle testing. The Dabob Bay range site is especially well suited for quiet vehicle testing due to its secluded location and quiet ambient noise. This site has a moderate depth and close industrial facilities. Data processing and analysis tools have been developed over the years to assist in meeting customer needs. Several radiated noise data acquisition systems are available; these systems include both bottom moored and boat deployed systems.
Internal vibration data can also be acquired on underwater vehicles and processed at the Underwater Noise Analysis Facility (UNAFAC). Classified data can be processed and electronically transferred the processed data. Test and Evaluation (T&E) planning and management services are also available at NUWC, Keyport to aid the customer in test development and execution.
