The Information Resources Management (IRM) Section of the Data Systems Research and Development (DSRD) program provides research and technical assistance to federal agencies in the planning, development, management and implementation of corporate information resources. DSRD's mission is to design, develop, and apply state-of-the-art information technologies and to provide solutions to problems affecting mission performance of the Department of Energy (DOE) and other federal agencies. Over 85 federal agencies have been successfully supported through the DSRD program including the U.S. Army, Defense Logistics Agency, and Headquarters Army Materiel Command. Oak Ridge has recognized the need to integrate and modernize IRM programs. The IRM Section of DSRD is an excellent source of information resource management and can provide detailed information on such topics as Data Administration, Data Dictionaries/Repositories, Database Administration, Enterprise Modeling, and Information Systems Development Methodology.
