1. General
Information:
a. PRR
Background. Describe the background of the PRR Identify the purpose
and type of contract, the contract's duration, the program being supported,
the cognizant DOD component, and the cost of the program. Briefly discuss the
events that led to the requirement to
review.
b. Contractual
Requirement. Identify the specific contract requirements. Describe
the contractor's production readiness relative to the requirements.
2. PRR
Purpose. Identify the PRR's purpose. For example, use a statement
such as "This review will validate the contractor's transition to production
risk management system and status, evaluate production readiness, and evaluate
manufacturing planning."
3. PRR Scope.
Discuss the scope of the PRR in context of the objective and content of DOD
4245.7-M." Document the subjects and give reasons for not investigating any
areas not covered.
4. Review
Process. Identify the team members and their specialties. State the
PRR method and the criteria used for the review.
5. Summary of
Findings. Summarize the findings (risk potentials) of the PRR.
Identify areas that greatly affect production. As much as possible, analyze
the impact of potential problems.
6. Conclusions and
Recommendations:
a.
Conclusions. Discuss the contractor's readiness for production and
the risks involved in transition from development to production as addressed
in DOD 4245.7-M. Reference supporting evidence given in paragraph 5. Answer
the question: "Is the status of production readiness acceptable?" Summarize
your assessment of the risks.
b.
Recommendations. Recommend corrective actions that must be taken to
achieve production readiness and minimize risk in transition to production.
Specify ways to correct deficiencies. If applicable, recommend a follow-up
review be conducted.
