This regulation defines the applicability, staffing, support,
and operations in the production readiness review (PRR). It gives general
criteria for evaluating a contractor's readiness to transition a program into
production. More extensive criteria are in AFSCP 84-4. This regulation covers
both high- and low-volume high-cost systems. This regulation implements DODDs
4245.6 and 4245.7; DOD 4245.7-M; DODI 5000.38; and AFRs 800-2, 800-9, and
800-37 (atch 1).
AFSCR 800-9 references this regulation. AFSC field commands are encouraged to
develop their own supplements to this regulation. This regulation applies to
all AFSC product divisions. This regulation does not apply to the Air National
Guard or US Air Force Reserve units and members.
