Entry-level CLTs will be expected to:

- Read and construct graphs using several scales.

- Calculate ratios.

- Calculate and understand the significance of means and standard deviations.

- Perform unit conversions.

- Perform calculations involving exponents.

- Perform calculations involving roots.

- Perform calculations involving logarithms.

- Know standard procedures for determining and using appropriate significant figures.

- Perform chemical calculations.

- Recognize patterns from data.

- Solve simle algebraic equations.

- Describe accuracy and precision.

- Determine control limits.

- Determine detection limits.

- Evaluate propagation of error.

- Calculate gravimetric/volumetric conversions.

- Solve complex algebraic equations including the use of the quadratic and simultaneous equations.

- Use unit analysis for checking calculations.

- Use partial differential calculus or other techniques to evaluate error.

- Use differential calculus to calculate rates.

- Be familiar with elementary statistics.

- Statistically design experiments.
