1.1 Scope
This standard establishes the format and content requirements for the
preparation of defense specifications and program-unique specifications
prepared either by DoD activities or by contractors for the DoD. It also
covers the format and content requirements for specification sheets,
supplements, revisions, amendments, and notices.
