Most potential problems that may be encountered when applying the tape
technique should appear as out-of-tolerance acceleration amplitudes during the
taped sine sweep (see Chapter 5,
par 5-3.1). Not all of these out-of-tolerance conditions present during
the sine sweep will result in significant problems in the random portion of
the test Therefore, before proceeding to troubleshooting, some guidelines for
measurement and interpretation of the sine sweep data are provided.
