Accurate determination of bandwidth, frequency and acceleration amplitude
are required for meaningful interpretation of the sine sweep data Therefore,
it is suggested that if out-of-tolerance conditions are noted on the RMS
voltmeter during the initial sine sweep (see Chapter 5, par 5-3.1 ), a
second sine sweep be made during which a plot of acceleration versus frequency
be recorded This data can be acquired utilizing an x-y recorder with a time
drive and log converter as shown in Figure 6-1 and 6-2
An oscillograph or similar recorder can also be used.
