Successfully integrating a producibility program
requires the combined dedication and support of all involved personnel. This
commitment begins and is encouraged by a comprehensive strategy and
implementation plan. Furthermore, maintaining company resources and commitment
must be supported by documented results of producibility program efforts. Section 2
presents a model for
instituting this strategy and implementation plan based on one company's
producibility program management and program measurement practices. The company
is currently applying this strategy in its design process and manufacturing
environment.
