This document is a deliverable under the ASN RDA CHENG task to BMPCOE to incorporate an Interoperability and Integration (I&I) risk assessment capability into the Technical Risk Identification and Mitigation System (TRIMS). The task includes a number of phases and deliverables to be accomplished in late FY01 and through FY02. One of the requirements is to produce this Structured Process to Incorporate Interoperability and Integration (I&I) Risk Assessment into TRIMS.
Because the Navy desires to have an assessment of I&I risks for a set of programs being reviewed in November 2000, the I&I TRIMS development process must be completed in two steps—the first to provide an early but limited capability for the November review cycle, and the second to provide a fully functional TRIMS in mid to late FY01.
A separate document—Project Plan: TRIMS for Interoperability and Integration, dated 17 August 2000, describes the schedule, staffing, and development steps. This current document describes the development process.
