A representative from the Best Manufacturing Practices (BMP) Program and Center of Excellence (COE) was among attendees at the October 3, 2007 Counterfeit Electronic Components Avoidance (CCAW) Workshop at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel at Los Angeles Airport, Los Angeles, California. The workshop, organized by Components Technology Institute, Inc. and Custom Analytical Services, Inc., provided a forum for 30 representatives from industry and government to learn, discuss, and exchange the latest information regarding counterfeit component detection and prevention practices, techniques, and tests. BMP’s participation in this event represents the Center’s support of sharing best practices and resources in support of the DoD.
