A representative from the Best Manufacturing Practices (BMP) Program and Center of Excellence (COE) was among attendees at the 2007 International Military & Aerospace / Avionics COTS Conference, Exhibition & Seminar August 21-22, 2007 at the Cleveland Marriott Downtown Hotel at Key Center in Cleveland, Ohio. This year’s meeting, which was organized and supported by the Center for Commercial Component Insertion, C3I and sponsored by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and John Hopkins Applied Laboratory, provided a forum for the 45 conference attendees to discuss and exchange the latest information regarding commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) electronic products used in military and aerospace applications. Attendees participated in technical sessions focused on proactive parts management issues, dormancy and logistics issues, and COTS applications and assessments. BMP’s participation in this event represents the Center’s support of sharing best practices and resources in support of the DoD.
