A representative from the Best Manufacturing Practices (BMP) Program and Center of Excellence (COE) was among attendees at the 2007 Government and Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP) Workshop sponsored by the Defense Standardization Program Office (DSPO) November 6, 2007 at the Best Western Golden Sails Hotel in Long Beach, California. Approximately 130 government and industry representatives were present to hear speakers from industry discuss topics regarding counterfeit electronic parts. GIDEP’s mission is to reduce or eliminate unnecessary resource expenditures by sharing existing information between government and industry participants. BMP’s participation in this event represents the Center’s support of sharing best practices and resources in support of the DoD.
