The Navy’s Best Manufacturing Practices (BMP) Program will be conducting an on-site survey of Jasper Engines & Transmissions in Jasper, Indiana, the week of 8 October 2007. Jasper Engines & Transmissions is the nation's leading remanufacturer of a diverse line of drive train components that include gas engines, transmissions, diesel engines, differentials and rear-axle assemblies, and stern drives. The company’s product mix also includes performance engines and transmissions, marine engines, alternate fuel engines and fuel systems, and electric motors. Jasper Engines & Transmissions employs 1580 associates in six facilities devoted to remanufacturing quality products that are distributed through a network of 36 branch and distributor locations throughout the United States. The BMP survey will focus on the company’s Jasper, Indiana corporate and remanufacturing facility. Jasper Engines & Transmissions also has facilities in Crawford County, Indiana; Willow Springs, Missouri; Bellingham, Washington; and Altoona, Pennsylvania.
